Peace to you

Lo reconocieron al partir el pan

Gospel text (Lc 24,35-48): The two disciples told what had happened on the road and how Jesus made himself known when He broke bread with them. As they went on talking about this, Jesus himself stood in their midst. And He said to them, «Peace to you». In their panic and fright they thought they were seeing a ghost, but He said to them, «Why are you upset and why do such ideas cross your mind? Look at my hands and feet and see that it is I myself. Touch me and see for yourselves that a ghost has no flesh and bones as I have». As He said this, He showed his hands and feet. In their joy they didn't dare believe and were still astonished. So He said to them, «Have you anything to eat?», and they gave him a piece of broiled fish. He took it and ate it before them.

Then Jesus said to them, «Remember the words I spoke to you when I was still with you: Everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms had to be fulfilled». Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. And He went on, «You see what was written: the Messiah had to suffer and on the third day rise from the dead. Then repentance and forgiveness in his name would be proclaimed to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. Now you shall be witnesses to this».

A pilgrimage to Midland, a walk for life and freedom on Canada day

Dear Mr. Harper. As our leader, I am appealing to you two months now, before July 1 st , Canada day, on which we celebrate the nation we are wanting to be, and on which I have committed to the Lord, my walking pilgrimage to the Shrine in Midland, Ontario; that commemorate our true martyrs, people like us, who gave everything for the building of our nation, in the only possible way a nation could ever be build, by giving everything to God.

When God is offended, should we become violent?

Our God is all love and truth, who asks from us humility and forgiveness. Our God is the only living God. He has the word of eternal life. Observing the process of the current protests in the Middle East and many other places in the world by the so called followers of Islam, presumably outraged because they do not like what is being presented in a film about their prophet; it is interesting to distinguish that factual truth, about what is missing in the whole staging of these protests and it is precisely, truth, love, humility and forgiveness and it is not precisely from the ignorant mobs perpetrating the assaults under the direction of their evil leaders, but from the ones supposedly protecting the basic and fundamental freedoms we all in the western civilization which is founded in Christianity, have for granted.

Affordable Housing

At any point in time any house is an affordable house, or a house that can be afforded by the person or family living within. Tents are affordable houses as much as mansions are. Governments, of any level cannot fix the housing problem because they are the housing problem. It is their taxes, mostly all of them irrational and ruthless, that causes people to go into financial stress and desperation.  Why is it that a housing problem exists?  Governments, of any level can only destroy economies by meddling in them. By legislating in favour of some and in detriment of others. Governments are not meant to choose winners and losers. By allowing such irrationality what it’s accomplished is corruption at the highest level.  Let’s look at the construction matter. The narrative says governments of every level are engaged in building infrastructure, roads, trains, airports, etc. The construction industry of course goes beyond those areas but also and especially, it is about housing,...
