It’s official: Layton backs 50%-plus-one rule for Quebec secession - The Globe and Mail
The NDP keeps being lost in their own ambitions. From leader of the opposition this 'character' now aims to be the leader of Quebec. As far as the rest of Canada is concerned, maybe the time has come to realize on what the Quebec card has been for the political game in the country and the impact it has had on everything else.
If the PQ was decimated supposedly making its goal irrelevant, the issue won't go away, because the discussion persists and the collectivist venom will maintain it so that the potential of a 'conservative spring' is not allowed to even come to surface. Are we Canadians longing more for a separatist effort than we are for a true wind of conservatism? By the way, Bob Rae is the 'leader' interim or not, of the defunct Liberal Party of Canada.
I hope Harper takes note and appreciates the big opportunity history has put before him to really work for Canada, with or without Quebec, or should I say, with or without the NDP and its collectivist bunch.
