The loss of life is always regretful and I don't think there will be a moment when the Vatican will actually celebrate the loss of life. The events that keep unfolding in the Middle East for centuries and which has most definitively have been in the eye of the news, since the days in which the state of Israel was created; cannot be seen simply from the spectator side and judged without directly seeking peace and justice.

There is really anything to debate but to recognize and it is what the true meaning of this social disaster is all about; the destruction of human life ignoring the dignity and individuality of the human person and triumph of selfishness. Women that unwillingly become pregnant, deserve our love and the need to see love in its whole perspective becomes imperative because of the new life in her womb and the whole society is in obligation to comfort her and give assistance, but not by killing the product of whatever the miscalculation or the crime is, because that would mean abandonment for both lives, mother and child to the abyss of degradation.

Politics is the science of perception, so it is understood in what is known as democracy and for that matter on every other regime, until of course, it is time to ignore the people, openly and blatantly. It is with that perception that votes are issued on behalf or against some particular candidate or political tendency, obtained following one or many illusions that supposedly are going to make thing easier and people happier. Like it or not to admit it; we are all politicians, only some of us take decide to offer ourselves in the body of government, and only some of us truly and dutifully are there to serve the people rather than ourselves. These two distinct type of politics work on different types of perception, because while the ones that see an interest in serving the people, are interested in principle over popularity, the ones that want to be served by the people, are interested in popularity alone, completely ignoring what principle might be.

Nobody believes in nothing so everyone has a religion and is very religious. The question is who does people believe on or worst, what they believe on.

As advent 2008 is upon us all, it is once more important to reflect on the celebration that advent announces, the birth of Jesus, only Son of God, made man for our salvation.
