For there were so many people coming and going that the apostles had no time even to eat

Gospel text ( Mark 6,30-34): The apostles returned and reported to Jesus all they had done and taught. Then he said to them, «Go off by yourselves to a remote place and have some rest». For there were so many people coming and going that the apostles had no time even to eat. And they went away in the boat to a secluded area by themselves. But people saw them leaving and many could guess where they were going. So, from all the towns they hurried there on foot, arriving ahead of them. As Jesus went ashore he saw a large crowd, and he had compassion on them for they were like sheep without a shepherd. And he began a long teaching session with them.

Goodbye Charlie Brown: the sequel | iPolitics

Goodbye Charlie Brown: the sequel | iPolitics Is Stephen Harper about to embrace euthanasia? Because he will not debate abortion yet, which I do not think needs to 'debated' but abolished. The point though is that in his 'report' to Davos, it seems the concern is Canada's 'aging' population as a challenged for economic improvement and that means that if you will not fix one end, you have to work on the other. It is becoming extremely trouble some to see Canada drifting more and more towards the culture of selfishness of collectivism especially and particularly when who appears to be 'managing' the trend is the one and only 'Conservative' Prime Minister. Mr. Harper needs to understand that it si principle what brings positive change and not just the same popularity idiocy the collectivists that have governed this country have been getting into producing a spiral of destruction which even if it is hitting Mr. Harper in the face today, he seems

Economy adds 243,000 jobs last month, unemployment rate falls to 8.3 percent - The Hill's On The Money

Economy adds 243,000 jobs last month, unemployment rate falls to 8.3 percent - The Hill's On The Money Careful with what you want. You might get it. A job is not everything and it is nothing when dignity is the question. Slaves are all and always occupied and have jobs. When slaves do not have jobs, then they are eliminated, from statistics first, then in real life by killing babies and then killing elder and weak so that 'success' might be 'shown' The question is really as JFK presented it Do not ask what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. The Israelite in Egypt had all jobs, but were not happy The gladiators in Rome had all jobs but only the winners were happy, momentarily The people working the plantations in the Southern US, had all jobs, but were they happy? The Soviet Union and Cuba and every other collectivist system out there, offer full employment, never happiness Dignity through freedom is what the people needs and the

Romney gaffes alarm GOP - TheHill.com

Romney gaffes alarm GOP - TheHill.com If Romney is or is not, the right candidate to remove Obama from hurting his country any further, needs to be build and grown throughout a process. The problem is that Mitt Romney has been pushed down the throats of everyone by the media and the GOP sooner rather than later. Newt, Ron or Rick, and even the ones already 'defeated' are being forced to defend their pasts or in the case of Paul, to not being able to expand on whatever plan he might have to explain his so apparently out of context position. But none are allowed and Mitt, well he, as Obama was throughout 2008, is being kept in crystal urn, protected form criticism or if found, explained immediately. The only 'explanation' anyone seemed to have is that he, has the most national powerful organization with lots and lots of money. Would that not explain to everyone the nature of his campaign? I Obama all over again! If Romney wins like this, without his conservatis

King Herod also heard about Jesus because his name had become well-known

Gospel text ( Mc 6,14-29): King Herod also heard about Jesus because his name had become well-known. Some people said, «John the Baptist has been raised from the dead and that is why miraculous powers are at work in him». Others thought, «He is Elijah», and others, «He is a prophet like the prophets of times past». When Herod was told of this, he thought: «I had John beheaded, yet he has risen from the dead!». For this is what had happened. Herod had ordered John to be arrested and had him bound and put in prison because of Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip. Herod had married her and John had told him, «It is not right for you to live with your brother’s wife». So Herodias held a grudge against John and wanted to kill him, but she could not because Herod respected John. He knew John to be an upright and holy man and kept him safe. And he liked listening to him, although he became very disturbed whenever he heard him. Herodias had her chance on Herod's birthday, when
