Gospel
text (Mathew 7,15-20): Jesus
said to his disciples, «Beware of false prophets: they come to you in sheep's
clothing but inside they are wild wolves. You will recognize them by their
fruits. Do you ever pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? A good
tree always produces good fruit, a rotten tree produces bad fruit. A good tree
cannot produce bad fruit and a rotten tree cannot bear good fruit. Any tree
that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown in the fire. So you will
know them by their fruit».
Gospel text ( L uke 11,1-4): One day Jesus was praying in a certain place and when He had finished, one of his disciples said to him, «Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples». And Jesus said to them, «When you pray, say this: Father, hallowed be your name, may your kingdom come, give us each day the kind of bread we need, and forgive us our sins, for we also for-give all who do us wrong, and do not bring us to the test»
